She was born in Manila and moved to United States with her family at the age of 17. She grew up surrounded by the beauty of jewelry and learning the business side of it. The jewelry designer consultant's roots run deep. Her mother and grandmother were in fine jewelry business in the 70s-90s. She produced and managed several fashion shows in Cincinnati. A self-proclaimed fashionista with styles from eclectic to classic chic or rock-star look. Presently, she is working as a graphic designer and creative director in downtown Cincinnati. Arlene soon became an obsessive gemstone and vintage jewelry collector. In 2008, she decided to start designing jewelry as a personal hobby. Realizing that her jewelry was creating buzz and support amongst her friends, she hold small trunk shows at boutiques, charity events and unconventional places. Last year, Arlene launched her first independent collection online comprised of modern, elegant, one-of-a-kind jewelry with a signature of using gemstones and pearls.
