Bridal and Formal

Looking for my dress was a one day event, and I left with a dress ordered! My consultant was very friendly, especially accommodating the, oh I don't know, 10 people that came with me lol My dress came in three months later than expected, but it was due to the designer, a problem that they later corrected by no longer offering that designer's gowns (unfortunate though because my dress is gorgeous!) :) We also ordered our bridesmaids dresses and MOH's dress from Bridal and Formal as well. I had out of state ladies and they were able to call in with their measurements and received recommendations on what sizes to order. Smooth process. And, because I ordered my gown there, they received a group discount. I was really pleased with them. One thing I do recommend is to know the exact dress number that you've looked at in advance. I asked one of the bridesmaids' consultants for my ladies to try on Alfred Angelo's silk diuponi strapless dress and she said he didn't make a dress like that. Luckily I remembered the dress number and she was able to find it with no drama or fuss. Just FYI.

I had a good experience with Bridal and Formal. My first encounter with them was pretty good and then it just got better from there. After I ordered my dress, I started working with Bobbi and Tracy. These women are wonderful! They were helpful and really took the time to work with me on hair/accessories. I made numerous trips to the store picking out my bridesmaids dresses, etc. Each time all the employees were extremely courteous and made sure I got everything I needed. I even got a decent deal on my dress and the bridesmaid dresses! Overall, my experience with Bridal and Formal was a good one. It's employees like Bobbi and Tracy that make shopping at that store a great time :-)

Lots of selections for every price range. Only problem is you have to go grab each dress yourself and its a big area. They also have no private dressing rooms. Every other person in there changing can see you

Bridal and Formal had an amazing selection of dresses and we were very, very happy with the dresses and all of the other items we bought here. Everyone looked stunning. Overall, their responsiveness, availability and professionalism were a bit lacking. I understand that they have also stopped selling/dying shoes, which I would not recommend you do any way. It took a long time and the color was not exactly right. For the value, I think you have to stop here and look at the wedding gowns. You can't beat it.

Bridal and Formal has the best selection around. It was easy to find SOMETHING that you liked. I wish they were a little more hands on right from the beginning.

We ventured out right after the engagement to get an "idea" of what the dress should be. We left ordering the dress after a mere three hours. My mom was even disappointed that it all went so quickly. This is a very large salon that gives you the attention of a small boutique salon. All of the other salons in the area require appointments to properly attend the brides, very understandable. We walked into Bridal and Formal and asked to make an appointment and the proprietor indicated he had an associate available. Tracy was assigned to us and was wonderful. She indicated that we should go select 10-15 dresses that we liked and she herself would select 10 she thought would look nice based on our interview. She fixed my hair to get the full effect then started with the dresses. She was quite organized and directed us based on style..etc. Very professional. It all went quickly and smoothly. The dress was selected was a dress another young lady had tried on and discarded. Tracy had watched her try it on and ran over and got it when the girl had finished, I put it on and it was the one. It was perfect. Elegant and dreamy, candlelight color. It was a lot of dress and while beautiful, Tracy did try to discourage me from getting this particular one. Only because the dress was voluminous and I am a size 0. The weight was her concern. It was satin and taffeta. I could not be swayed, this was the dress. We ordered it that day. The experience was perfect. The dress and the bridesmaids dresses came in just as promised. Nothing would be changed. Thank you Tracy and Bridal and Formal. We are so happy with the service.

Very helpful, personalized service. I was wavering between two dresses and the saleswoman helped me without making me feel pressured into buying something.

Incredibly positive experience at what was a very stressful time. Two weeks to go before the wedding and I still hadn't been able to find a dress that was flattering let alone affordable for something I'd wear once! I am an older bride (late 50s), still attractive, but not sporting my 20's-something figure any longer. Every other place we went, they kept giving me dresses to try that really didn't suit my age or figure and they weren't LISTENING to me. They'd all exclaiim how darling something looked. Gag on that BS. At the end of the day, both my elderly mother and I were pretty weary, but we stopped in while on the street at Bridal and Formal. That was the best decision of any I made at the wedding (other than my choice of husband). At first I found it a bit offputting to be assigned a sales person, but soon saw the sense in it when the person I was assigned, Sally Cook, actually was extremely helpful, not just in helping me get gowns on and off, but also in selecting gowns that were well within my budget and were flattering for my coloring and figure. She was so natural and knowledgeable, I'd ask for her again if you could get her. Since my wedding was literally upon us, Sally took me upstairs to look for gowns that I could buy directly from the rack. I ended up buying TWO wedding gowns of very high quality (layers of chiffon over satin with lots of beautiful hand beading), each for under (are you sitting down???) $100. I was so thrilled with this selection, I also bought two gorgeous bridesmaid gowns to use as formals on my honeymoon cruise. Both had been samples of discontinued designers, looked untouched by human hands, were extremely classy and flattering (no sleazy prom dress look for me, please), and I bought them both (are you STILL sitting down?) for $20 each. This place is phenomenal. I'd look upstairs first for your own gown to save money as you might find the perfect dress for an incredible price. Thanks again, Sally, for your natural and helpful advice and assistance. You were perfect, as are the dresses. I will be wearing that second wedding gown at vow renewals henceforth.

My dress was beautiful and I am pleased. They did also price match so I saved about $50. Be forewarned, though, they will measure you and want to order your dress a size bigger. They tried to do this to me but I refused. Glad I did because when my dress came in it fit perfectly and I had to have ZERO alterations. That being said, I called them to see if they could help me figure out how to get the wrinkles out and they were zero help. I also wasn't very impressed with some of the older ladies that work there. I am a doctor. I have money. However, when I go out to places like this I don't want them seeing dollar signs so I had on jeans. They treated me like I couldn't afford to be in that store. They also did the same by ordering my future mother in laws dress too big. She had to have a lot of alterations to it. Be careful. I would not go back to them.

I think your experience at Bridal and Formal depends on who you work with. My first visit to Bridal and Formal was not a good experience. The sales rep was awful. She was only interested in making a sale that day. I wasn't prepared to purchase my wedding dress the first day out. I was not going to go back to Bridal and Formal until I heard that Sally worked there. Sally is very good at her job. She was very helpful and not pushy. She found the perfect dress for me! I received my dress much faster than expected. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Sally on a weekday if you go to Bridal and Formal.

Bridal and Formal is literally a one-stop shop. I was able to pick out my dress, accessories, and bridesmaids' dresses in one afternoon. Bridal and Formal does a great job of calling when the dresses are in and keeping you updated along the way. I highly recommend them to brides looking for great service and a wide selection of dresses.

I loved working with Cynthia at Bridal and Formal. She really helped point me in the right direction instead of trying to upsell me a dress I couldn't afford. She was so pleasant to work with, even just as the store was closing. The ordering process was simple, but my dress came in a couple weeks after it was supposed to. The salon didn't let me know my dress was late, I had to keep calling to find out the status of my dress. It arrived exactly how I ordered it. Would definitely recommend this salon.

Awesome selection !!! Picked us out a dress we never would have tried on and it was perfect !!! They know what their customers should wear and look wonderful !!!!!!!

They were great. Gave them my price range and stayed at the bottom of it. She picked my dress out. It was so beautiful and perfect. They rushed it in for me for no extra charge. Great place.

My wedding consulant was fantastic and she helped me pick out the perfect wedding dress for me. It is a little shocking when you go there to try on dresses and realize that the fitting room is just one big community changing area. I was really uncomfortable changing in front of not only brides but their family and friends too. Definitly be sure to not wear a thong and bring a good strapless bra unless you want to be completely baring it all in front of strangers. I also got all my jewerly and cake toppers for this place as well. My jewerly was stunning and looked amazing the day of the wedding. We had a little issue with the cake toppper and they had order the one wrong and then tried to blame me. However they got it fix and the new one arrived on time. Other than that everything was perfect!

Simply amazing selection! Everyone was wonderful with both my dress and the bridesmaid dresses. I would recommend them to anyone-near or far. Amy was the greatest assistant when picking out my dress. And they were negotiable with the price of my dress.

I live in Columbus, and after an unsuccessful day of dress shopping there, I took a trip down to Bridal & Formal with my mother. They have a great selection of plus size gowns, but it is a little cramped in there. At first, the girl helping us didn't seem very friendly, but she warmed up. She was extremely knowledgeable about their selection: when I said I liked the bottom of one dress and the top of another, she was able to recall that they had a dress that fit that description... and it was the one I ended up with! They also had a great range of prices, so it is possible to walk out of there with a dress under $500. Trying the dress on at B&F was a little bit irritating, because they don't have enough dressing rooms for each bride-to-be to have her own. One of the other consultants got really snippy with me when I told her I was using the room that her client was in--but my stuff was in there, so I think I was justified. The area where you can take pictures (after you've chosen to buy the dress) is right in the front of the store, so it's a bit awkward. My bridesmaids also got their dresses at B&F--they carry/can order the dresses on dessy.com. Unfortunately, the bridesmaid department is not nearly as friendly as the bridal department. Every interaction/phone call I had with them was unpleasant.

My mom and sister flew in from California, and then drove with me from Cleveland to Cincinnati to Bridal and Formal to check out their plus size dress selection, and we were not disappointed! I gave them a 4 and 4.5 on Quality of Service and Professionalism mostly because of the person who greeted us, she was unfriendly and immediately made me want to walk out. My mom convinced me to look around for a few minutes, when we were assigned to Lacrecia, a bridal consultant. Lacrecia was AMAZING, much more personable and friendly. She fit me with many dresses I had picked while browsing, and then selected a few she thought would work. I was skeptical of a few of her choices, but I ended up falling in love with one that she picked out. They also have a great selection of jewelry, I ended up with a Swarovski hairpiece that matched my Maggie Sottero Rachael bodice PERFECTLY. Bridal and Formal has a fantastic selection and excellent consultants, just try not to get put off by the greeter!

I purchased my wedding dress from Bridal and Formal. They had so many dresses to choose from and really made finding the perfect dress easy and special. I recommend going on a week day when they are less busy so you can receive more 1 on 1 attention, but a great place to go shop for wedding gowns.
