The Cannery was an amazing venue for our reception. They helped with choosing the band who was also incredible. They also recommended a number of caterers when we asked for recommendations. I used someone they recommended as they would be familiar with the venue. This could not have worked out more perfectly. I received numerous compliments on this venue choice. It was great for mingling, dancing, and a full service bar and served dinner. There were so many options. The Cannery was very flexible and helpful. The cost was minimal in my opinion, especially for such a gorgeous place. Everything was clean and it truly was memorable!

We had our ceremony and reception here. Christy (the gallery owner) was extremely flexible through the entire process. We had to change our date a few times and she was very accommodating. The venue is gorgeous and requires little decoration due to the powerful impact of the art. The day of the wedding she allowed us to come into the gallery very early to set things up. The gallery had just added some nude paintings and photographs and she was very very flexible and nice about taking those down and replacing them with more "wedding appropriate" images. Very unique place and for the location and price of rental (for us there was no "time limit") it was a steal compared to other areas I looked at. If you are considering the Dayton Art Institute and want to spend about $3,000 less - - look into the Cannery Art & Design Center. We also received a discount since our wedding was so small (we were only having 35 guests but the venue can probably hold 150+)
