The Creative Light Studio

Creative Light Studio opened its doors in January of 2011, but before that happened there is so much more to the story.

Creativity is more than just a word... it is who I am. You see, my father has been in the advertising industry for longer than I have been alive. The joke in our family is that he was dying for one of the kids to be artistic and he found it in me. I couldn't go anywhere, and I truly mean anywhere, without crayons and paper. I preferred plain white paper to coloring books because the opportunities were endless with a blank sheet. Who wants to stay in the lines anyway?

I took AP art in high school and discovered a love for painting. Graphic Design was always in my mind but my high school only offered one class by the time my senior year rolled around. It was enough to wet my appetite and go after a Graphic Information Design degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

So where does the photography come into play? A few years ago I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to train on the job with another wedding photographer. In those two years I learned so much and enjoyed every minute... When the opportunity came up, I knew I could start my own company and truly love my job. So that is where we pick back up... Creative Light Studio opened its doors in January 2011.

I love constantly challenging myself to get new and creative angles for each client. I want to make each bride's photography as unique as their personality.  I look forward to each and every wedding and can't wait to meet you.
